IFAP opens 160 spots in Oiapoque: sign up

IFAP's Oiapoque Campus offers 160 vacancies distributed among four in-person classes, scheduled to start in the second semester of 2026. The available courses are: Technical in Administration in the afternoon (40 vacancies) and in the evening (40 vacancies); Technical in Foreign Trade in the afternoon (40 vacancies); and Technical in Logistics in the evening (40 vacancies). All courses are in-person and free, with no cost to the candidate.

The courses were carefully selected for the reality of Oiapoque. Foreign Trade and Logistics fit perfectly with the flow of goods on BR-156, trade with French Guiana, and the port movement at the border. Administration, in turn, opens doors in both the public and private sectors, in a municipality that is growing rapidly with the economic boost brought by oil prospecting.

Registrations are open from May 12 to 31, 2026 and must be done exclusively online, through the official IFAP system at processoseletivo.ifap.edu.br/ps. There is no registration fee. Candidates will need to provide their Portuguese Language and Mathematics scores from their High School transcript at the time of registration — supporting documentation will only be required upon enrollment. ENEM, ENCCEJA, EJA, and PROEJA scores are also accepted.

The selection is classificatory: there is no exam. Candidates will be ranked by the average of their Portuguese Language and Mathematics scores, and vacancies will be filled in descending order of classification. The result of the registration homologation is expected on June 10, 2026.

50% of the spots are reserved for candidates who completed all of their elementary education in public schools. Within this quota, there are subdivisions that consider per capita family income of up to 1.5 minimum wages, self-declaration as black, brown, or indigenous, and being a person with a disability (PCD). Candidates who self-declare as black or brown will undergo a heteroidentification procedure by a specific committee on campus. The remaining spots (50%) are for general competition, open to all candidates who meet the basic requirements.

The selective process is governed by Notice nº 08/2026/PROEN/IFAP, available for download on the official IFAP website at www.ifap.edu.br. The notice contains all the rules, the detailed schedule, the complete list of required documents for enrollment, and the norms for each quota modality. Oiapoque is experiencing a period of accelerated growth. Oil exploration at the mouth of the Amazon has brought new workers, new businesses, and new demands for skilled labor. The approval of the Unifron bill in the Chamber of Deputies, which will create an autonomous federal university in the city, points to a future of more educational opportunities.
