ICMBio opens vacancies for environmental agent in Cabo Orange
The Cabo Orange National Park, in Oiapoque, has open registrations for temporary environmental agents at levels I and III. Registrations from May 4th to 8th, 2026, in person or by email.

What is Cabo Orange National Park?
Cabo Orange National Park is one of Brazil's largest federal conservation units, located in the northernmost part of Amapá, on the border with French Guiana. With over 619,000 hectares of mangroves, flooded fields, and tropical forest, the park is managed by ICMBio and represents one of the most preserved ecosystems in the Amazon. Working there is a rare opportunity to combine stable employment with environmental preservation, with the administrative office located in the municipality of Oiapoque itself.
What are the Vacancies and Remunerations?
The public notice provides for vacancies at two distinct levels. Level I only requires incomplete elementary education and offers remuneration of 1 minimum wage + legal benefits. Level III requires complete elementary education and offers 2.5 minimum wages + legal benefits. Both contracts have a duration of 24 months. The exact number of vacancies per level will be disclosed according to the selection process — the public notice adopts the reserve registration (CR) system, with a reservation of vacancies for Black, brown, indigenous, and quilombola people, in accordance with Federal Law 15.142/2025.
What Does a Temporary Environmental Agent Do?
Activities include patrimonial monitoring of the park, administrative and operational support, public reception and service, access control, and other support functions for the management of the conservation unit. The candidate must be available for work trips and to fulfill a full-time workload, including weekends, according to the unit's demand.
How and Where to Register?
Registration is free and takes place from May 4th to 8th, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It can be done in two ways: in person, at the Cabo Orange National Park Administrative Office (Right Bank of the lower course of the Oiapoque River, S/N, Bairro do Russo, Oiapoque/AP); or by email, sending all documentation in a single PDF file to parna.caboorange@icmbio.gov.br.
What Documents Are Needed?
To register, the candidate must present: RG and CPF (original and copy); proof of residence or signed declaration of residence; proof of schooling (mandatory for Level III); medical certificate of physical fitness, issued less than 30 days ago; blood type and RH factor; criminal background certificates from State and Federal Justice; and declaration of dismissal for just cause. Candidates applying for quotas must also present the specific self-declaration. CNH (categories B, C, D or E) and boat license are differential points in the curriculum analysis.
How Does the Selection Process Work?
The selection process has two stages. Stage 1 — Resume Analysis (May 14 and 15) evaluates experience as an environmental agent or brigadista, duration of work in conservation units, courses in environmental areas, management, nautical and first aid, as well as a driver's license and boat license. Stage 2 — Interview (May 27 to 29) evaluates the candidate's communication skills and affinity with park activities. The final result is expected on June 9, 2026.
